Product Engineer & Industrial Designer
Bridging the worlds of automotive engineering and conceptual product design — from multi-stakeholder industrialization to minimal mobility concepts.
About
Product Engineer & Designer
I am a product engineer and designer with experience spanning the full lifecycle of complex components — from early feasibility and supplier negotiations to industrialization and market release.
My corporate work is rooted in the automotive industry, where I've led cross-functional projects for major OEMs including programs involving North American market adaptations, zero-emission vehicle platforms (Nikola Tre), and cost/complexity reduction initiatives delivering significant investment savings.
In parallel, I pursue a personal design practice that explores the intersection of minimal functionality and aesthetic intent — from the D-mover mobility concept to everyday objects redesigned for safety and harmony.
Details from corporate projects are handled with confidentiality. I am happy to share further information in direct conversations.
01 / Corporate
A new functional content was required for the US market, impacting a high-volume globally shared component. Led multiple negotiation rounds with Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Logistics — balancing design feasibility, production constraints, and cross-regional alignment. Established a controlled long-term stock strategy enabling production continuity while the updated design was finalised.
02 / Corporate
Initiated and led structured feasibility analyses — involving Process Engineering, Suppliers, and Cost/Investment teams — to evaluate integrating a plastic extension into the side panel system. Successfully validated technical and economic viability, eliminating two separate components, simplifying manufacturing, and delivering investment savings in the range of several hundred thousand euros.
03 / Corporate
During the rapid development of the zero-emission Nikola Tre truck, drove cross-functional integration between OEM and supplier engineering teams. Managed new materials, new production rates, and integration into an active high-pressure environment. A decision-driven approach enabled the targeted TKO within challenging timelines.
01 / Personal
A conceptual exploration of minimal mobility: a vehicle designed to move one person from A to B with the least material, structural, and functional complexity possible. More than a single concept, it is a live platform promoting the development of alternative mobility solutions for contemporary communities. Developed through an open, free-thinking design process. 02 / Personal
Traditional overhanging towel rails create safety risks due to exposed angular edges. CARL introduces a continuous rounded geometry that eliminates sharp protrusions, reducing accidental impacts in compact bathroom environments. The curvature also provides a natural additional hooking point — increasing functionality without adding material or complexity.
03 / Personal
On many guitars, the spring-mounted pickup loosens under intensive playing — aggravated by players resting their thumb directly on it. FUMB introduces a dedicated thumb rest that absorbs playing pressure, preventing force transfer to the pickup assembly. Designed to be ergonomic, durable, and visually integrated with the guitar body.
Open to opportunities, collaborations, and conversations.
